               SINHALA & HINDU NEW YEAR          I am a Sinhalese and a Buddhist and in every year I celebrate our Sinhala and Hindu new year which falls on April. And the History says about the Sinhala and Hindu new year as it was celebrated in the Kandyan Kingdom as a national festival under the patronage of the kings. This was done in keeping with  the rituals.         The astrologers worked out Nekath to perform the rituals in order to bring about prosperity and happiness to the people and country. Sinhala and Hindu new year dawns when the Sun moves from Meena Rashiya to Mesha Rashiya completing a cycle of a  twelve month period.                        I am a girl. My name is Kavindya Gimhani. I was born on 13 th   January 2004. I am currently 22 years old. I live in Matuwagala village in Kiriella, Rathnapura Distric. I was educated at Kiriella Central College, Kiriella                There are four members in my family. Namely father, mother, younger brother & me. I loved dancing since I was a child. I am currently studying dance & studying as a first year undergraduate at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts.

                         The moon is Earth's natural satellite, orbiting around it. It's a big ball in the sky at night. We see different shapes of the moon as it goes through phases. Sometimes it looks like a circle, sometimes like a crescent.                                       The moon affects Earth's tides because of its gravitational pull. People have been fascinated by the moon for ages. They have sent astronauts to walk on its surface. It's also inspired stories and poems. Looking up at the moon, it's easy to feel a sense of wonder and curiosity about what's out there beyond our planet.

They gives fruit and wood. Trees help keep the earth clean by absorbing carbon dioxide. Birds and animals live in trees. Trees make our surroundings beautiful and green.                                            They prevent soil erosion by holding the soil with their roots. We should plant more trees to protect the environment. Talking care of trees is important for a healthy life.

                      A rainbow is a colorful seen in the sky. It appears when sunlight hits raindrops & bends. The light splits in to seven colors: red , orange , yellow , green , blue , indigo & violet .                       The Rainbow💙          Rainbows often from after rain when the sun is low in the sky. To see a rainbow, you need the sun behind you and rain in front of you. Sometimes, there can  be two rainbows at once, called a double rainbow . Rainbows are a beautiful and surprising sight, making the sky look magical and bright.    

                Environment is the habbit of the all living things. Environment is our surroundings. It has many trees, waterfalls, rivers, m ountains, animals and etc.         Environment also can called as NATURE . Nature is a gift to all of us. Environment is the best creation of the nature mother. I am also felt in the love with environment.😍              In free time I like to enjoy with environment like feeling the wind, hearing to the birds & other animals & watching at all 💚. I think environment is like our close friend. Because trees gives us foods😝, woods💜, flowers💟 & the mainly  Oxygen .  LET'S PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT. It is a very important thing for students.       Pencils are found in different colours like yellow💛, pink💗, green💚, brown🙈 etc. Its lead is black❤. Its price only 25 rupees. It is made of wood.            It is round on shape. My pencil has an eraser at the end. It has a pointy tip that helps us make marks on paper.

                  Autobiography of a School Bag💖             I am a red school bag. bought from a shop by a girl named Kavindi .  I carry her books, note books, lunch box, and water bottle every day. Together, we go to school, and I sit beside her in class. Sometimes I feel heavy, but I never complain. Kavindi takes good care of me, cleaning me when I get dirty .Though I'm getting old and worn, I'm proud to be part of her learning journey. This is me😎                                    I have seen her joys, worries & successes. I heel happy when she wins prizes and sad when she is upset. But no matter what, I am always by her side.
