                     Muttiah Muralitharan is one the greatest bowler in the history of cricket. He was born on April 17, 1972 in Kandy. He played international cricket for Sri Lanka national cricket team and became famous for his unique bowling style.

                  Muralitharan is best known for his off-spin bowling. He holds the world record for the highest number of wickets in both Test and One Day International (ODI) cricket. His ability to spin the ball sharply made it very difficult for batsman to play against him.
